This morning I decided to head out on a mission (that’s what they call trips here) to check out a local waterfall. Zhoel was working so I decided to bring a canine pal along for the adventure.
Toto accompanied me to Piroa Falls.
A popular activity in New Zealand is called doing “bombs.” From what I’ve gathered this is similar to doing cannonballs, where you try to make the biggest splash possible. However, you do not actually curl up in a ball. People use all different positions to try to increase their splash. There were heaps (another Kiwi word) of kids and adults doing bombs off the waterfall.
After witnessing a Kiwi tradition, Toto decided it was time for us to go to the beach. So we headed down to Lang’s Beach for the afternoon.
