I have regularly experienced the joys of living in farm country. I am able to buy fruit on the side of the road with my loose change and I am entertained by the sight of alpacas when I drive home from town. Today, I was given another reason to live in the country.
Zhoel, Brian and I were heading a couple towns over to Ruakaka to do some night fishing. On our way, we hit an unexpected road block. Some cows had escaped from their paddock and were impeding traffic. Since they wouldn’t respond to the sound of our horn, the guys had to get out of the car and chase them off the road.
(This video does not do justice to how hysterical this was.) The best part, however, was as soon as they walked back to the car, the cows ran right out through the fence again and onto the road. (I swear I could hear giggles in their moos.)
