When we arrived back to Taupo in the morning I had to clean while Zhoel wandered around town. We went to check out the hot pools and decided to treat ourselves to some really greasy fried food. We went to a local fish and chips shop that advertises the “cheesy weezy.” We had to discover exactly what this is. We learned that it is a pile of chips covered with cheese curd and some kind of aioli/mayo type thing. We also experienced fried pineapple and breaded, deep fried sausage pieces. It was quite revolting, but delicious at the time.
Also, Zhoel invited me to come stay in Waipu for the summer. I am thinking about heading up that way and working for his mom’s horticulture business, as well as doing some hospo work for a couple months.
